The NIMBYs get a lot of bad press but no one slags off the IALJs [the ‘I‚m Alright Jack‚ crowd]? If you are a member of community opposing an intrusion or assault on your environment you are designated a NIMBY. Support from other communities is rare - afterall, they are alright, Jack!

A Dream Made Real

There is a rather tasteful ex byre hidden away down an idyllic lane in a county that is itself secreted away. Ten years ago it was quite derelict. Now it’s a thriving hive of happy healthy activity. And like all places full of honey it’s attracting quite a bit of buzz.

Leixlip Playground Action Group

We are a group of local parents who have set up a committee in an effort to secure badly needed playground facilities for Leixlip. There are currently no playground facilities in Leixlip. According to recent studies carried out by The National Children's Office, there are two local authority playgrounds for a population of 163,995 persons in county Kildare. This is grossly inadequate.
